Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi received Jordan’s King Abdullah II on Wednesday at Cairo International Airport.
Sisi is scheduled to hold a summit in Cairo with the Jordanian king, according to a statement by the Egyptian presidency.
The Jordan News Agency reported that the meeting will discuss dangerous developments in Gaza and ways to cease fire in the Strip.
On Tuesday, Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry received his Jordanian counterpart Ayman Safadi in Cairo.
