During his current visit to Rwanda to attend the inauguration ceremony of President Paul Kagame, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptians Abroad Badr Abdel Aati met with the Chairman of the Sudanese Transitional Sovereignty Council, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan.
At the beginning of the meeting, Abdel Aati confirmed conveying the greetings and appreciation of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to Al-Burhan, stressing Egypt’s continued support for Sudan, including affirming its commitment not to interfere in Sudan’s internal affairs.
The Minister expressed Egypt’s readiness to meet any humanitarian and relief needs that Sudan may need.
The meeting discussed the efforts made to bring peace and stability to Sudan, where Abdel Aati stressed Egypt’s supportive role for the Sudanese brothers, whether by helping Sudan overcome its current crisis or supporting the Sudanese state institutions to ensure the unity and integrity of its territories and meet the aspirations of the Sudanese people.
For his part, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan expressed his appreciation for President El-Sisi and the leadership role he plays in supporting Sudan, and expressed his thanks to the Egyptian people for the support and care they provide to the Sudanese residing in Egypt.
