Charities and institutions in Egypt continue Ramadan campaigns to relief the Palestinian people, as we follow the spread of individual charitable initiatives.
There are about 52,500 associations and social institutions in Egypt, some of which are united through the National Alliance. This alliance includes 34 development and service entities from the largest charitable entities in the country and has partners in all governorates.
Charity activist Mohammed Shaker pointed out that the citizens’ response to the campaigns was great despite the economic hardship and the rise in prices and costs.
Through the “Khali Ramadan Mersal” campaign, Mersal Foundation confirmed that it has worked to support 958 university students from Gaza, 742 families stranded in Egypt, in addition to thousands of Egyptian families who receive financial support every month from them.
The Egyptian Red Crescent Society is doing its part on the Egyptian border with the Gaza Strip, where it has established a “humanitarian kitchen” to prepare iftar and suhoor meals for the displaced in the Gaza Strip.
The Egyptian House of Zakat and Charity, under the supervision of the Sheikh of Al-Azhar, announced on the third day of Ramadan the entry of its fifth convoy to Gaza, which included 100 trucks with the participation of 80 countries.
The Egyptian Food Bank announced the preparation of its fifth convoy for relief in Gaza in the coming days.
