Egypt’s women’s volleyball team reached the final of the 2024 All-Africa Games after defeating Kenya 3-2.
The meeting between the two teams took place on Friday evening in the semi-finals hosted by Accra, Ghana.
The match began with Egypt falling behind in the first and second periods with scores of 23-25 and 19-25 respectively.
Egypt regained the initiative and won the third period 25-17 and continued their lead by winning the fourth half 26-24, before concluding the match with a decisive victory in the fifth period with a score of 15-13.
Egypt’s women’s volleyball team will play the final on Saturday against Tunisia, who reached the final after beating Ghana 3-0.
Meanwhile, a third-place match will be played between Kenya and Ghana.
This final qualification is the first for Egypt’s women volleyball since qualifying for the final in 2003.
