The Egyptian delegation topped the results of the African Games held in Accra, Ghana, after reaching 94 various medals in the various games participating in the tournament.
Egypt won 53 gold medals, 21 silver, and 20 bronze, ahead of Nigeria in second place, Algeria in third place, South Africa in fourth place, and Tunisia in fifth place.
These results were achieved through wrestling, table tennis, weightlifting, swimming, badminton, judo, karate, and chess.
The Egyptian wrestling team was able to achieve 18 various medals, including 10 gold, 4 silver and 4 bronze medals, while the Egyptian chess team players achieved 6 various medals, 5 gold and one silver.
At the level of table tennis, 11 various medals were achieved, including 6 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze, and in karate, 15 various medals were crowned, including 10 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze.
With regard to swimming, the team has succeeded in winning 27 various medals so far, 13 gold, 10 silver and 4 bronze, weightlifting won 12 gold, while badminton achieved four different medals, with a silver medal and three bronze, and judo won a bronze medal.”
