Egypt’s Ambassador to Mali, Tarek Abdel Hamid, delivered a shipment of food aid to the Toumani Touré Children’s Foundation, which is headed by the former First Lady, wife of the former President of Mali, Amadou Toumani.

During the handover ceremony, the Egyptian ambassador stressed that Egypt spares no effort to help our Malian brothers, and that this step comes within a series of ongoing cooperation frameworks between Egypt and Mali.

For her part, the President of the Foundation expressed her appreciation for the Egyptian initiative, stressing that this is not the first time that Egypt has provided a helping hand to the Malian people.

The head of the foundation indicated her aspiration for more Egyptian support in light of the current circumstances and challenges, stressing the specialness of the relationship between the two countries.

It is noteworthy that Egypt has previously provided support in the field of health care, which contributed to the opening of an ear and throat department in one of the largest financial hospitals, in addition to a maternity ward, in addition to providing about 14 dialysis machines and a number of incubators for children.
