Egypt’s National Elections Authority will hold a press conference on Monday at 2 p.m. to announce the result of the 2024 presidential elections.
This comes after the Egyptian National Elections Authority announced that it had not received any appeals from the four candidates in the presidential elections or their agents against the decisions issued by the general committees on the voting process, within the scheduled date for this procedure, which is specified in the timetable for the electoral process throughout the period.
It is noteworthy that a number of public committees have announced the results of counting the vote of Egyptians to choose the next president, as initial indicators showed the progress of candidate Abdel Fattah al-Sisi in the presidential elections, and obtained a percentage exceeding 90%, while the order of the other candidates varied.
The new president will be sworn in on April 3, 2024, under Article 241 of the Constitution, where the winning president in the 2018 election has completed the six-year term.
