The Russian loan payments allocated to “El Dabaa” Nuclear Power Plant, which were disbursed to carry out various projects on site, exceeded one billion dollars.

According to Al Arabiya, Egyptian government officials said the money was not disbursed all at once, but rather in batches of different values to companies working at “El Dabaa” station.

Egypt receives a $25 billion loan from Russia to finance works, services, and equipment shipments for the power units at “El Dabaa” station.

In order to implement these works, Egypt uses the loan to finance 85% of their value. These are contracts signed between Egyptian and Russian institutions. For the benefit of the authorized Russian institutions, Egypt pays the remaining 15% of the financing in installments, either in dollars or pounds.
