Egypt plans to open the world’s largest textile factory in Mahalla al-Kubra next month, Public Business Minister Mahmoud Esmat said.

The minister added that the Holding Company for Spinning and Weaving, which is affiliated with the public business sector, has begun final preparations for the operation of the factory, which was implemented within Egypt’s national project to develop the textile industry.

The factory, which was built on an area of 62.5 thousand square meters, accommodates more than 182,000 yarn suppliers, with an average production capacity of 30 tons / day of fine and thick yarn, according to data from the Ministry of Public Business Sector.
