The owner of a fertilizer company and his girlfriend were killed on Saturday by her brothers in Cairo, the Egyptian capital.

As soon as A.S.’s sister learned that she had fled the family home in Fayoum to accompany the owner of a fertilizer company named A.A., who holds a doctorate, she met with her brothers and devised a treacherous plan that ended in a heinous crime in the press.

At eight o’clock in the evening last Tuesday, the two brothers of the victim girl, accompanied by two others, went to the property where the crime occurred on the 20th Street in Al-Bahri in Al-Ma’asara, with white weapons in their possession, asking the property guard to go up to meet the owner of the fertilizer company, “We are coming to do work with him,” so he allowed them to go up.

Inside the apartment, the four defendants surrounded the company owner and the girl. They asked him to marry her to protect her reputation, but he refused. They beat him, then one of them attacked him with a “correction” and he fell to the ground. They stabbed him and he breathed his last.

After 30 minutes, they left the scene of the incident, according to their confessions during the investigations.

Blood splattered on the clothes of the accused, forcing them to descend the stairs from the 11th floor, the scene of the crime. The property guard saw them terrified getting into a car with two others in it, so he immediately went up to the apartment and tried to find out what was going on, without a response from the owner. He sought help from the neighbors and broke down the door, where they found the two victims and informed the police. According to his statements in the investigations.

After collecting information, unpacking the cameras, examining the relationships of the two victims, and tracking the car, the security services in Cairo and Fayoum were able to arrest 4 defendants in the incident, and initial investigations suggested that the crime was motivated by honor.

The prosecution ordered the defendants to be detained, and two others involved in the incident to be quickly arrested and brought.
