Egypt won the gold medal at the Arab Basketball Championship, which it hosted on home soil, after winning the final match against Libya, which was satisfied with the silver medal.
Egypt managed to settle the final by 25 points at 87-62.
The match was strong between the two teams, during which the Libyan team excelled in the beginning, before the experience of the Egyptian players played a starring role in deciding the result and won the Arab Championship title for the 13th time in the history of Egypt.
Tunisia achieved third place and the bronze medal, after defeating its Emirati counterpart (73-66), in the meeting to determine the third and fourth place holders.
