Egypt bid farewell to the African Cup of Nations round of 16 (final price) after losing to DR Congo on penalties (8-7), after a 1-1 draw in normal and extra time of the match.

The Democratic Republic of Congo opened the scoring in the 37th minute through its star Mishaq Elia before Mustafa Mohamed scored the equalizer for the Egyptian team in the first minute of stoppage time of the first half (45 + 1).
