The Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research reported that it has formed a committee to amend the university education system in Egypt.
Local media quoted a source in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research as saying that the committee concerned is preparing a study to amend the admission systems of Egyptian universities.
The source said that the amendment includes public, private, private, and technological universities, in addition to regulating the distribution of admitted students to various colleges.
He stated that the committee is working to examine all elements of the university educational system in Egypt, including admission, infrastructure, and teaching methods, benefiting from international and Arab educational systems.
The source also indicated that after the completion of the study, it will be presented to the Minister of Higher Education for discussion in the Supreme Council of Universities, explaining that the new system will be applied gradually over five years, and will be implemented in stages.
