Turkish club “Adanaspor” announced the signing of Algerian player Youssef Attal, 27, from the French club “Nice”, and this comes after a dispute with his former club because of a post on social media about Gaza.
Attal preferred to move to the Turkish league after a dispute with his former French club, which punished him with suspension for a social media post about the Israeli aggression against civilians in the Gaza Strip, and Attal appeared before the French judiciary on charges of “inciting hatred.”
The Turkish club said welcoming Al-Attal: “Our club signed a contract with right-back Youssef Attal, we welcome him into our family, and we wish him success with our team.”
Attal also said goodbye to supporters of his former French club via “X”, saying: “Dear friends it’s time to leave, I am grateful for this adventure,” and added: “I remember well my first day in (Nice) and especially difficult times, I will remember you and you will remain in my heart.”
