The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Libyan Government of National Unity discussed with its Portuguese counterpart the importance of opening the Portuguese embassy in Libya and activating previous agreements between the two countries.
The Discussions took place during the visit of Libya’s Ambassador to Portugal, Saad Aqoub Arhim, accompanied by the Political Advisor and Deputy Libyan Ambassador, who is responsible for the cooperation file at the Libyan Embassy, the headquarters of the Portuguese Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Lisbon, and met with the Director of the Middle East and North Africa Department at the Ministry.
The media office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Libyan Government of National Unity published a picture on Facebook, in which he explained that during the meeting, the importance of opening the Portuguese embassy in Libya and activating previous agreements between the two countries was discussed.
In turn, the director of the Middle East and North Africa Department at the Portuguese Ministry of Foreign Affairs pledged to present the proposals to officials on his part and to take into account the reasons that led to the lack of continuity of the agreements presented.
