On Tuesday evening, the President of the Libyan Presidential Council, Mohamed Menfi, held bilateral discussions with the President of the Republic of Chad, Mohamed Idriss Deby Itno, in the capital, Tripoli.
The media office of the President of the Presidential Council stated that the meeting discussed the progress of work and existing cooperation between the two countries, where the importance of strengthening bilateral relations for the benefit of the two brotherly peoples was stressed, and the necessity of continuing consultation between the two countries in regional and international forums was emphasized.
In a related context, Al-Menfi discussed earlier with the Prime Minister of Malta, Robert Abella, the issue of illegal immigration and bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
Al-Menfi stressed that Malta will act as a representative voice for Libya in the European Union to limit the phenomenon of migration.
On the other hand, the head of the Interim Government of National Unity, Abdelhamid AL-Dbeibeh, held discussions with the President of Chad, where he called for the importance of joint work between the two countries to activate previous agreements that were not implemented, and open new horizons for cooperation in multiple areas of common interest.
