The mother of the young Egyptian boxer, Hamza Tamer, 17, passed away after losing her son who drowned in a swimming pool at an Egyptian club.
The father announced his wife’s death just three days after losing his son, in a touching post on his Facebook account.
Boxer Hamza Tamer, a player on the Tersana Club boxing team, died while he was recovering at the club, where he drowned, prompting the Ministry of Youth and Sports to close the swimming pool and refer those responsible for the incident to investigation.
The local community and social media sites reacted strongly to the painful news, as many expressed their sadness and sympathy for the family who lost their son and mother in a short period of time.
