A delegation from the Coordination will meet with the African Mechanism on Sudan on Thursday in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa, the spokesman for the Sudanese Coordination of Progress, Alaa El-Din Nagd, announced.
In a press statements, criticism added that the meeting comes within the framework of discussing solutions to stop the war in Sudan and reach peace.
The coordination, led by Abdalla Hamdok, adopts a roadmap to end the war that was previously presented to (RSF) commander Mohamed Hamdan Daglo (Hemedti), and is expected to present it to Sudanese army commander Abdel Fattah al-Burhan.
A meeting with the African Mechanism was preceded by a visit by a delegation of the Coordination headed by Hamdok to Egypt to hold meetings with the Egyptian presidency regarding the role that Cairo can play in stopping the Sudan war.
The African mechanism held a series of meetings in the recent period, with Al-Burhan, and a number of political forces inside Sudan, led by the Forces of Freedom and Change, the Democratic Bloc Group, the Reform Now Movement, and the Popular Congress Party, the wing of the Shura Council.
The Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces have been fighting a devastating war since mid-April 2023, leaving more than 13,000 dead, and about 8 million displaced and refugees, according to United Nations estimates.
