Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko signed a series of cooperation agreements with his Egyptian counterpart Mostafa Madbouly in Cairo, including the establishment of a grain storage center in Egypt.
Golovchenko stated that this visit represents a historic step, as he stressed the importance of cooperation between the two countries and strengthening relations in various fields.
He pointed to the possibility of localizing some Belarusian industries in Egypt, such as the manufacture of heavy equipment and agricultural tractors, in addition to the establishment of factories for dried milk and edible oils.
For his part, Madbouly expressed Egypt’s interest in increasing trade exchange with Belarus and exporting more Egyptian products, stressing the importance of deepening cooperation between the two countries in areas such as water and sewage treatment.
This signing comes within the framework of Cairo’s efforts to strengthen cooperation with Belarus and deepen local industrialization in Egypt, and this is the first visit of the Belarusian Prime Minister to Egypt, as the two countries seek a long-term strategic partnership.
