The “Moroccan Action Group for Palestine” condemned the Moroccan authorities’ permission to dock the “INS Komemiyut” military ship belonging to the Israeli army in the port of Tangier and enabling its crew to supply the necessary fuel and food.
The group described what the authorities did as “dangerous, shameful, and cowardly,” stressing that it represents “a neglect of national sovereignty, a blatant violation of the Constitution, contempt and insult to the feelings of Moroccans, and a blatant assault on their civilized and cultural heritage.”
She stressed that this measure constitutes complicity and participation of the Moroccan authorities with the occupation in its aggression against the Palestinian people and its desecration of the sanctities of the Moroccan people and the Arab and Islamic nations.
It also stressed that it constitutes a violation of the United Nations Charter, the resolution of the United Nations General Assembly, what was recently issued by the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court, and the report of the United Nations Human Rights Council.
In view of this, the “Moroccan Action Group for Palestine” called for the opening of an urgent investigation with the aim of determining responsibilities and imposing sanctions on those proven responsible for this act.
She called on all vital national forces in Morocco to unite efforts in confronting this “dangerous tsunami,” in defense of the country, preserving its sovereignty, and in support of the struggle of the Palestinian people.
