CAF bans laser pointers in African Cup of Nations 2024, to be held in Ivory Coast.
The decision comes in light of CAF’s intention to to organize the tournament in the best possible manner, resolving any obstacles that could affect the quality of the African Championship matches, and to avoid what happened in some matches of the previous edition, when some fans directed lasers at the eyes of the opposing players to distract their focus, especially when they take penalty kicks.
The African Cup of Nations will be held in Côte d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast) and kicks off on Saturday 13 January and will continue until next February 11.
