Turkish television channel TRT Haber reported that the Libyan passenger ship Kefalay Queen collided with a cargo ship off the coast of Istanbul on Friday without causing injuries.

“The 147-meter-high passenger ship Kavalai Queen collided in the Sea of Marmara near Yenikapi with the 103-meter-high Tanzanian-flagged cargo ship Captain Adam 1,” the channel said.

The TV channel reported that the two ships were damaged but no injuries and were towed to the Akhirkabi pier.

The media reported that Kefalai Coinliner has been conducting periodic cruises between Libya’s Misrata and Turkish ports since the end of 2021 after a 25-year hiatus.
