The Sudanese army’s air force launched a series of airstrikes on Friday on positions in the city of Wad Madani, the capital of Gezira state.
An official statement issued by the “Wad Madani” resistance confirmed civilian casualties in the Dabbagha neighborhood and near Kubra Hantoub as a result of the aerial bombardment.
The statement also stated that the sites of casualties were inaccessible due to security complications, making it difficult to estimate the number of casualties and verify the presence of deaths.
The attack comes amid heightened security tensions in the region.
