Chadian Deputy Interior Minister in charge of decentralization, Ahmed Omar Ahmed, said that his country is surrounded by unstable countries, especially Libya, where tensions are already affecting security in the region as well as Chad.
Ahmed said in a press statement: “We are the only country that works for stability in the region despite the inflamed borders that witness instability or security, as is the case with Libya and all sides surrounded by Chad.”
Ahmed said”The recent meeting, which was held in the Chadian capital, which brought together intelligence and army leaders in the region, discussed security developments, measures to combat terrorism and co-operation mechanisms.”
Ahmed said “There is coordination at high levels between the surrounding countries and Chad in order to combat all forms of terrorism and to ensure stability in the region.”
