Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli today opened the 55th edition of Cairo International Book Fair at Egypt Centre for International Exhibitions and Conferences.
According to the Middle East News Agency (MENA), about 1,200 Arab and foreign publishers take part in this year’s fair. Norway is the guest of honor of the fair which is held from January 25 to February 5.
Running from January 24th to February 6th at the International Exhibitions Center in New Cairo, this literary spectacle is like a book lover’s dream come true. It will host 5250 exhibitors and 1,200 publishing houses from 70 countries, all under one roof! It’s a THE place to be for all you bibliophile.
Egyptologist Selim Hassan was selected as the fair’s character and writer Yacoub Sharoni as the character of child book fair.
