Radio “Mosaique” reported that commercial traffic at the “Dhiba Wazen” border crossing between Tunisia and Libya was abruptly halted on Saturday, by a decision by the Libyan side.
The radio station noted that it was not clear the reasons for the decision or the duration of its validity, while passenger traffic continues normally from both sides.
It is noteworthy that commercial movement at the crossing had been suspended for several days during the last period by a Libyan decision without explaining the reasons before returning last Monday.
For its Libyan side, the Dhiba and Wazzan crossing is under the control of the Libyan Government of National Unity headed by Abdelhamid Dabaiba, and the crossing has been operated since 2011 by the municipality of Nalut bordering Tunisia.
