Ukrainian special forces have reportedly been deployed in Sudan, fighting to support the Sudanese army against forces fighting alongside the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), according to the British newspaper The Guardian.
Earlier, a video of the Ukrainian presence in Sudan, said to be from sources within the Ukrainian military intelligence responsible for covert operations, went viral on social media.
There has been no independent investigation into the content of the video and the location where it was filmed, the newspaper said.
However, it has spread after months of speculation that Ukrainian forces are operating in Sudan as part of an emerging Kiev campaign to strike Russian interests off the front lines of the Ukrainian war.
