EgyptAir announced on Friday that one of its flights was cancelled from Rwanda’s Kigali airport after some birds collided with the plane’s engine while moving on the runway.

The flight, which was bound for Cairo airport with 116 passengers on board, was cancelled after some birds collided with their engine while moving on the runway, prompting the captain to decide to return to the original location.

These precautionary measures have been taken to ensure the safety of passengers and the aircraft, in order to avoid any potential risks until the engine is fully inspected and safe.
