Mauritania blew a surprise and qualified for the final of the African Cup of Nations, for the first time in its history, along with Burkina Faso and Angola, while the Algerian team officially bid farewell to the tournament.

The “Al-Mourabitoun” team beat its counterpart “Desert Warriors” with a clean goal scored by Mohamed Delahi Yali, in the 37th minute of the match. Algeria is leaving the Africa Cup of Nations for the second consecutive time in the group stage, after being eliminated in the 2021 edition in Cameroon, after being only one point bottom of the standings. It’s no different in the current edition, where the Greens finished last in Group D, with two points from draws against Burkina Faso and Angola.
