The first press conference to announce the details of the Benghazi Summer Festival was held in the presence of a group of Arab and international media outlets.
Mohammed Al-Zawi, the official spokesperson for the festival, revealed the full details, stressing that the main goal is to send a message to the world that Libya and Benghazi in 2024 are completely different from the past.
Al-Zawi pointed out that the “Ajyaluna” Foundation, the sponsor of the festival, has made great efforts to establish a first session at the highest level, explaining that preparations began three months ago to ensure a festival with international specifications.
Al-Zawi confirmed that they are not afraid of the festival coinciding with other Arab festivals, but rather that this has increased their determination to compete and appear in the best possible way to the Arab and international audience.
Regarding the presence of rap singers in the festival, Al-Zawi said that they are the most listened to and widely spread currently and were very suitable for the festival’s budget, compared to other stars who requested large sums.
For his part, Rami Al-Mansouri, a member of the organizing committee, revealed that all the events on the sidelines of the festival will witness press conferences, stressing their endeavor to present a global session to achieve success worthy of Libya and Benghazi. It is worth noting that the Benghazi Summer Festival will be held from August 1 to August 15, and includes many artistic, cultural and sports events.
