The container ship “SCMEDFORD” docked at Tripoli seaport on Friday evening, according to an announcement by the Libyan Ports and Maritime Transport Authority.

The ship carries 290 containers, including 150 refrigerators, food, and clothing, and belongs to Amwaj Libya, and another ship is scheduled to arrive in Zone 1 of the port on Saturday morning.

The authority confirmed that the installation of the metal fence in the car hangar maintenance project inside the port is continuing after the completion of the installation of concrete columns.

Last Sunday, the authority announced the success of the operation to float the ship “Nana Lee” in the port of Tripoli a few hours after it ran aground.

The ship carries the Sierra Leonean flag, and its owner and crew were of Syrian nationality, carrying 27,000 tons of yellow corn.
