The High-Level Arab Forum under the title “Multidimensional Social Development” kicked off in the Qatari capital, Doha, with the participation of ministers and officials of social affairs in the Arab countries, and representatives of regional and international organizations.

The forum aims to discuss a number of important files that represent a priority for joint Arab social development work, foremost of which is the Second Arab Decade for Persons with Disabilities (2024-2032), and the file of the second Arab report on multidimensional poverty.

The Minister of Social Affairs in the Libyan Government of National Unity, Wafa Abu Bakr Al-Kilani, chaired the third working session of the forum related to the Second Arab Decade of Persons with Disabilities (2024-2032), entitled “The Second Arab Decade for Persons with Disabilities (2024-2023), a regional qualitative leap to promote inclusion and guarantee rights.”

Al-Kilani pointed to the contributions of the Libyan Government of National Unity in this field, and its work to implement several programs to promote the rights of persons with disabilities, and their inclusion in the economic, social, and political aspect, leading to inclusiveness and social justice.
