Several Arab countries and UN organizations welcomed the results reached at the Libyan tripartite meeting hosted by Cairo.
Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Yemen, Bahrain, and Jordan welcomed the outcome of the meeting, and the UN envoy, Abdullah Batelli, also tacitly welcomed him after meeting with the head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed al-Menfi.
The Arab Parliament also welcomed the results of the meeting, and affirmed in a statement its full support for Arab efforts and initiatives that would achieve security and stability in Libya and achieve the aspirations of its people, in order to achieve the supreme national interest.
The meeting included the heads of the House of Representatives, Aguila Saleh, presidential Mohamed al-Menfi and the Supreme State Mohamed Tekala, where they agreed to form a technical committee to look into the controversial points of electoral laws, and to form a unified government to supervise the electoral process and unify sovereign positions.
