Today, Monday, the official account of the Champions League on the X platform revealed the winners of the individual awards for the Champions League for the 2023-2024 season.

Brazilian star Vinicius Junior, a Real Madrid player, won the title of best player in the tournament for his contributions in winning his team the fifteenth title in its history, as he participated in 10 matches during this season, during which he scored 6 goals and provided 5 assists.

For his part, Jude Bellingham, the new arrival to Real Madrid, won the Best Young Player award thanks to his brilliance in the tournament, where he participated in 11 matches, scoring 4 goals and making 5 assists.

Real Madrid won the title after defeating Borussia Dortmund 2-0 in the final, which was held at Wembley Stadium in London.

This tournament comes ahead of the launch of the new version of the Champions League, which will witness the participation of 36 teams, of which 29 teams have already qualified.

Vinicius Junior, who plays as a winger for Real Madrid and the Brazilian national team, began his professional career with the Brazilian club Flamengo, where he participated for the first time with the first team in 2017 when he was sixteen years old.

Vinicius moved to Real Madrid in 2018, and the deal was worth 38 million pounds sterling, which is the highest deal in the history of a young player’s transfer to Real Madrid. Vinicius contributed to Real Madrid winning the Spanish League title 2021-2022 and scored the winning goal in the 2021 Champions League final.

As for Jude Bellingham, he moved to Real Madrid in 2023, and before that he played for Birmingham City and Borussia Dortmund, where he became the youngest player to score a goal in Dortmund’s history.

Bellingham won two major awards for the best under-21 footballers: the Golden Boy Award, and the Copa FIFA World Player of the Year award during the previous season.
