The President of the Algerian People’s National Assembly, Brahim Boughali, announced on Wednesday the upcoming visit of the President of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau, Oumarou Sisco Embalo, to Algeria.
During his meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau to Algeria, Mamadou Aliou Jallow, Boughali pointed out that this visit will strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries through the conclusion of cooperation agreements in various fields.
Boughali praised the consultations between the two countries, especially on issues of peace and security at the level of the African continent, and the fight against terrorism and organized crime.
Boughali appreciated Guinea-Bissau’s support for Algeria’s candidacy in international institutions, such as the African Peace and Security Council and the International Civil Aviation Organization.
For his part, the ambassador of Guinea-Bissau praised “Algeria’s role as a regional power in Africa,” and highlighted “the role of the two groups of friendship as an important means of diplomatic communication in line with the political efforts of the two countries.”
