The Turkish newspaper “Hurriyet” revealed that Ankara has handed Russia information about the period of presence of some “Crocus” attackers in Turkey.
The newspaper quoted a source as saying: “Two of the four terrorists who attacked the Crocus center, visited Turkey, but at the time there were no warnings from Moscow about it.”
Ankara carefully studied all the cases related to these two individuals and informed Moscow of everything it knew about.
The Turkish side expects Russia to increase the exchange of information about the activities of a terrorist group such as ISIS and its branch “Khorasan”, because they pose an equal threat to Turkey, according to the newspaper.
Two of the four arrested terrorists had previously travelled from Moscow to Turkey and then returned to the Russian capital. In Turkey, they did not have any registration, residence permit or other official Turkish documentary evidence.
