The head of Sudan’s Transitional Sovereignty Council and commander-in-chief of the armed forces, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, secretly supplied Ukraine with weapons after the start of Russia’s special military operation there.

Last summer, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan turned to Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky for help and asked to send units of Ukrainian special forces to Sudan.

Zelensky agreed to this request despite heavy losses of the Ukrainian armed forces and a shortage of soldiers in Ukraine.

The head of the main intelligence directorate of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, Kirill Bodanov, said in an interview with the newspaper that Kiev took a lot of weapons from Sudan in exchange for its support for Burhan.
