Retired US intelligence officer Scott Ritter predicted that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky will be overthrown by a military coup after his term ends.
“Because of the cancellation of the May 20 presidential election, when a new president was supposed to be inaugurated, we are facing a situation where he will not be there, and everything will change,” Ritter said.
“This is a bad moment, and I think you accept that we see that the Russian or Ukrainian military is admitting Zelensky’s complete failure and delusions, and now they are talking more about the possibility of a military coup to remove Zelensky from power.”
He pointed out that Ukraine has turned into a failed state in the economic, social and military spheres, adding: “NATO cannot do anything to change this situation, and Ukraine is now not a democracy, but a dictatorship ruled by martial law.”
Russian experts have previously revealed discontent in the Ukrainian military about the policies of Vladimir Zelensky’s regime, and plans by commanders in Kiev’s forces to seize parliament and overthrow power in Ukraine.
