US Secretary of State Antony Blinken confirmed the existence of continuous coordination with Egypt and Qatar to achieve a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, during a press conference held on Thursday.

Blinken explained during the press conference that the United States is working in cooperation with Egypt and Qatar to reach a ceasefire in Gaza, achieve the release of hostages, ensure the entry of necessary humanitarian aid, and create a sustainable path to resolve the crisis in the Strip.

“It is critical that Israel takes additional steps to ensure the permanent delivery of aid to Gaza,” Blinken stressed, stressing the need to ease unnecessary restrictions on essential items and provide safe access for aid convoys.

Blinken noted that Washington is seeking to establish a sea corridor to bring aid into Gaza, noting the United States’ support for other countries’ efforts in this regard.

In conclusion, the US Secretary of State said that the United States is committed to providing humanitarian assistance to the people of Gaza in light of the difficult circumstances they are going through, and that it is making continuous efforts to achieve a ceasefire and provide protection for civilians in the Strip.
