The Algerian government launched a program to implement 30 silos to store grains, and the process of implementing the first project began in the state of Mascara with a capacity of one million quintals.
The Minister of Agriculture, Youssef Charfa, stressed that this project comes within the program of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, which aims to complete 30 silos and 350 neighborhood grain storage centers, which will raise the total storage capacity to 9 million tons.
The Minister announced that the state of Mascara will benefit from nine neighborhood grain storage centers, each with a capacity of 50,000 quintals, and the implementation of these centers will begin in the coming days.
Charfa confirmed that the state of Camp is ranked first nationally in the rate of progress in the general census of agriculture, as it exceeded the national rate and reached more than 70%.
