A US statistic revealed the most coffee-producing countries around the world, in addition to the statistics issued by the World Coffee Organization on the countries that consume the most coffee.
Before talking about the main coffee-producing countries, it is necessary to understand the difference between the two main types of coffee, Arabica, and Robusta, according to a report published by the Roasters Pack.
Robusta coffee has a bitter taste, as it contains more caffeine and chlorogenic acid than Arabica coffee, which tastes modified.
Robusta beans contain 2.7% caffeine compared to only 1.5% in Arabica coffee.
Arabica coffee contains 60% more fat than robusta, and about twice the amount of sugar, which is probably one of the factors in the preference of many for the taste of Arabica.
The percentage of chlorogenic acid plays a crucial role in the taste of coffee, as its percentage in Robusta ranges between 7% and 10% compared to 5.5% to 8% for Arabica, and this bitter taste is explained by the former.
The total coffee production in the world is divided into 75% Arabica and 25% Robusta.
