The Abdellatif Rahal International Conference Center in Algiers will host the thirty-sixth conference of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union on Sunday and Monday, May 26 and 27, 2024.
The event was convened by Union President Brahim Boughali, President of the Algerian People’s National Assembly.
In preparation for the conference, the ITU Executive Committee will hold its thirty-fourth meeting on Saturday 25 May 2024.
The conference will witness several working sessions including meetings of various committees such as the “Palestine” Committee, the “Women’s Affairs, Children and Youth” Committee, and the “Political Affairs and Parliamentary Relations” Committee.
The conference will conclude with the issuance of a final communiqué, followed by a symbolic celebration marking the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union.
It is worth mentioning that the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union is an Arab organization consisting of people representing Arab parliamentary councils, and the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union was born in the aftermath of the October War in 1973.
