The Algerian Foreign Minister, Ahmed Attaf, has called on the member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to sever all relations with Israel.

This came during a speech delivered by Attaf, at an extraordinary meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, in which he said: “It was supposed and expected and hoped that we support, without hesitation and unequivocation, the severance of diplomatic, cultural, economic, commercial, military and security relations with the Israeli occupation, as we called for a few days ago by the African Union.”

Etaf stressed “the need to raise positions to the level of sacrifices, suffering, pleas and distress of our people in Gaza, who were expecting from us the weakest faith represented in breaking all ties that violate our support for the Palestinian cause.”

Attaf continued: “We deeply regret that the draft resolution before us has been stripped and emptied of all these serious and serious measures, which deprives our meeting of achieving its goals and objectives, and really loses its meaning and meaning.”

“We must take effective and effective action at all levels at our disposal to intensify pressure on the Israeli occupation, stop its bullying of the weak and innocent, and hold it accountable by strengthening the steps taken before international judicial bodies and supporting them with additional efforts before the United Nations General Assembly,” Attaf continued.

In conclusion, Etaf stressed the need to “work to fortify the two-state solution, by seeking to expand the base of official recognition of the State of Palestine and moving without delay towards demanding its full membership in the United Nations.”

It is noteworthy that this extraordinary ministerial meeting, which was held at the headquarters of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in the Saudi city of Jeddah, came to discuss developments in the Gaza Strip, which is subjected to continuous and unprecedented Israeli aggression.
