The Director General of Consular Affairs and the Algerian National Community, Rachid Maddah, announced the readiness of the “Algerian Agency for International Cooperation” to study more development projects on the African continent.

The agency has completed several successful projects in countries such as Niger, Mali, and Burkina Faso, confirming its commitment to continental development.

In an opening speech organized by the International Organization for Migration in Algeria, Maddah stressed that the establishment of the agency came to strengthen solidarity and development in Africa, pointing to the funding amounting to billions of dollars allocated to development projects.

Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune stated last May that the agency had begun implementing development projects in Mali and Niger, explaining that the focus would be on sectors such as health, water and education.

Tebboune praised Algeria’s role in the African continent, stressing its keenness to restore its position and its ability to achieve development and brotherhood among the countries of the continent.

Tebboune highlighted the efforts made by the authorities to open new sea lines to transport goods with Nouakchott, Dakar and Côte d’Ivoire, stressing Algeria’s commitment to promoting economic integration and regional development on the African continent.
