Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi confirmed on Tuesday that the Middle East region is witnessing unprecedented circumstances that impose great challenges and enormous burdens on Egypt.

In a speech he delivered on the occasion of the anniversary of the revolution of July 23, 1952, Al-Sisi indicated that Egypt will pass this turbulent stage regionally and internationally thanks to the strength and steadfastness of its people.

Al-Sisi explained that “the current regional and international reality imposes new challenges and complex situations on Egypt and other countries,” referring to geopolitical tensions, wars and civil conflicts in the region, the rupture of some countries and the collapse of their institutions, and the resulting catastrophic humanitarian conditions that include the spread of famines and the displacement of millions. .

Al-Sisi said that the difficult circumstances facing Egypt “can only be mitigated by what I know for sure about the strength of our great people and their resilience in the face of adversity, and their cohesion and unity are like structures that strengthen each other.”

Al-Sisi stressed the importance of not compromising national independence and preserving the dignity of the nation and its citizens, while making efforts to promote social justice and protect the neediest groups.

In another context, during a speech on the occasion of the June 30 anniversary, the Egyptian President stressed his country’s position rejecting attempts to displace Palestinians from the Gaza Strip to Egyptian territory.

Al-Sisi said: “The region is going through dangerous changes during the recent period, between the brutal Israeli war in Gaza, in which the conscience of humanity was absent, and the silence of the international community, which turned its face away from tens of thousands of innocent victims, the displaced and the afflicted, and malicious attempts to impose forced displacement towards lands.” Egypt”.

The Egyptian President affirmed that Egypt’s position was “noble, honorable and patriotic,” as it did not remain silent about providing relief to the Palestinians and withstood with pride and dignity in the face of forced displacement attempts, to protect its national security and prevent the liquidation of Palestinian rights.

Al-Sisi explained that Egypt would confront any attempt to displace Palestinians from the Gaza Strip with a “decisive response in accordance with international law,” stressing that Israel’s forcing of Palestinians to displace constitutes a threat to Egyptian lands and sovereignty.
