Al-Nasr team won the Libyan Football League title for the third time in its history, after defeating Al-Madina team by two goals to one.

The match was held yesterday, Thursday, as part of the activities of the fourth round of the hexagonal round, with the participation of 6 teams: Al-Nasr, Al-Ahly Benghazi, Al-Akhdar, Al-Ahly Tripoli, Al-Suwaihli, and Al-Madina, which is currently located in Italy.

The brilliant Zambian player, Kambamba, opened the scoring for Al-Nasr in the thirteenth minute, giving his team the lead at the end of the first half. Al-Madina Club was unable to change the result until the eighty-eighth minute, when Aboubacar Diarra equalized with a brilliant shot.

In the last moments, the referee awarded a penalty kick for Al-Nasr in stoppage time, which was kicked by Ali Salama, scoring the second goal for his team and announcing Al-Nasr’s victory, which raised its score to 12 points and was crowned champion of the forty-ninth edition of the Premier League.

It is noteworthy that Al-Nasr Club, which was founded in 1955, won the Libyan Cup title 4 times and the Libyan Super Cup title once, while Al-Madina Club was founded in 1965 in the city of Tripoli, and plays in the Libyan Premier Football League. It won the Libyan League title once in 1988.
