The head of the Libyan Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Menfi, received on Sunday in the capital, Tripoli, the Chief of Staff of the Turkish Army, Metin Gorak, in the presence of the Turkish Ambassador to Libya, Guven Begic, and the Libyan Chief of Staff, Mohamed Al-Haddad.

The Libyan Presidential Council announced in a statement that the meeting dealt with “discussing issues of common interest, especially in the military field.”

Gorak conveyed a message from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in which he stressed “the depth of bilateral relations between the two countries, and Turkey’s commitment to strengthen and develop these relations in various fields.”

It should be noted that Gorak held two other meetings before this meeting, one with the head of the Libyan unity government, Abdel Hamid Al-Dbeibeh, and the other with the Libyan Chief of Staff, Mohamed Al-Haddad.
