Member of the State Advisory Council, Abdullah Al-Kabir, said that the next meeting in Morocco between Libyan leaders will witness a discussion of amending electoral laws.

The meeting will bring together the President of the Supreme Council of State, Mohamed Takala, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aguila Saleh, and the President of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Manfi.

In an audio recording, Al-Kabeer explained that he did not expect to reach a consensus during the next meeting, indicating the need for more meetings to bring viewpoints closer.

Al-Kabeer added that the dispute over electoral laws and incompatibility is the main reason for the current crisis.

Al-Kabir pointed out that there is a problem with consensus between the House of Representatives and the State on forming a single government, as the House of Representatives wants to form a government, while the State Council seeks to amend the electoral laws first.

Al-Kabir concluded his statement by clarifying that differences need time to be resolved, and that he does not believe it is possible to reach a result in the next Morocco meeting.
