Al-Ahly Benghazi club completed its summer contracts in preparation for the new season of the African League, by adding five new players to its ranks.
This step strengthens different positions in the team before the decisive confrontation in the preliminary rounds of the African Champions League against Al-Hilal of Sudan in the middle of this month.
The club added to its ranks the duo Mustafa Hamza as a defender, and Al-Moatasem Al-Lafi as a midfielder, in addition to three other players: Abdel Moneim Okasha, goalkeeper Tawfiq Radwan, and Sudanese striker John Manu, as these additions are expected to contribute to raising the level of the team and enhancing its tactical and physical capabilities.
Al-Ahly Benghazi club is considered one of the major sports clubs as it was founded in 1947, where it started as a multi-sport club, but football became the main sport for the club.
Al-Ahly Benghazi won the Libyan Premier League championship several times, and won the Libyan Cup on several occasions, and participated in African championships such as the African Champions League and the African Confederation Cup and achieved some distinguished results at the continental level.
