The Speaker of the Libyan House of Representatives, Aguila Saleh, called on all Libyans to cooperate, unite and end differences to build a state of institutions in Libya, considering that unity is the only way to achieve this.
This came in Saleh’s speech after being awarded the Arab Excellence Medal by the Arab Parliament during the opening of the fourth plenary session of the fourth session of the third legislative term of the Parliament, which was held at the headquarters of the Arab League under the chairmanship of Adel bin Abdulrahman Al-Asoumi, Speaker of the Arab Parliament.
Saleh expressed his thanks and appreciation for this honor, considering it a pride for him, his family and his colleagues in the Libyan House of Representatives.
Saleh stressed the importance of defending Arab causes, especially what is happening in Palestine of genocide, intimidation and displacement, pointing to the weak response of the international community in helping the Palestinians.
Saleh added: “Our nation has destined the Arab nation to be covetous of the invaders, as there are several Arab countries that displaced their peoples and robbed their wealth, and this is what my country, Libya, was subjected to, as its people were subjected to the looting of their will and the confiscation of their decisions due to foreign interventions.”
Saleh pointed to the need to look to the future and turn the page on the past, “as it is the most important process to implement the reconstruction process, build states in accordance with the law, and that the right for all without marginalization or exclusion”.
